Man, 72, Killed By Train In Will County

The elderly man was pronounced dead just after 2 a.m. Wednesday.

MONEE, IL — A 72-year-old Richton Park man was pronounced dead just after 2 a.m. Wednesday after he was apparently struck by a train in Monee, the Will County Coroner's Office said. The man was pronounced dead at the scene near milepost 34 on the Canadian National railroad tracks.

The coroner's office said CN railroad police are investigating, and the man's name is being withheld pending notification of family.
