Business Burglaries Reported In Lake View, Lincoln Park

Police said burglars are breaking into local businesses through doors and skylights.

CHICAGO — Police issued a community alert Thursday warning of business burglaries in Lincoln Park and Lake View. Six businesses were targeted between Nov. 21 and Dec. 3, police said.

Burglars are breaking in through front and back doors, and in some cases, skylights, police said.

The burglaries occurred:

  • in the 2900 block of North Broadway on Nov. 21 at about 3:45 a.m.
  • in the 2500 block of North Clark on Nov. 27 at about 3:25 a.m.
  • in the 3200 block of North Sheffield between Nov. 28 and Nov. 29.
  • in the 3800 block of North Southport on Nov. 30 at about 2:45 a.m.
  • in the 700 block of West Fullerton on Dec. 3, between midnight to 9:45 a.m.
  • in the 2400 block of North Lincoln on Dec. 3, between 3:30 a.m. at 8:45 a.m.
