Shop at these North Side businesses Oct. 18 and 15 percent of your purchases will benefit the local non-profit Peace School.

CHICAGO — Local businesses have teamed up over the past five months to raise funds for schools and charities. On Thursday, Oct. 18, many local businesses in Lake View will be participating in Give-back Night, a fundraiser for The Peace School, a non-profit that helps people of all ages practice peace in everyday life.

The Lakeview Chamber of Commerce has organized the fundraiser since May, which has been held every third Thursday of each month.

On Oct. 18, 15 percent of your purchases at the participating stores will go to supporting The Peace School.
