Woman Sexually Assaulted In Lake View Home Invasion: Police
An intruder broke into a high-rise apartment Saturday afternoon, police said.
CHICAGO — A 59-year-old woman was sexually assaulted during a home invasion on Chicago's North Side Saturday afternoon, police said. The woman was assaulted in her apartment in the 3100 block of North Sheridan in the Lake View neighborhood between 3:15 and 3:36 p.m., according to the Chicago Police Department.
An unknown intruder forced the woman to perform a sex act before leaving the building, police said.
Area North detectives were investigating. No one was in custody.

Police are also investigating a separate apartment break-in in Lake View. A woman was robbed at gunpoint in her apartment Thursday evening in the 3900 block of North Pine Grove Avenue, police said. She came home to find two men going through her property, and one of the men pulled a gun on her, according to police.
