Closures On Harlem From Tinley To Frankfort Square Begin April 29

TINLEY PARK, IL — Resurfacing of Harlem Avenue, or IL -43, begins April 29 and will require daily lane closures from 159th Street in Tinley Park to Lincoln Highway, or US-30, in Matteson and Frankfort Square, the Illinois Department of Transportation announced

The work between US-30 and 171st Street is expected to be complete by October. The work between 171st Street and 159th Street is expected to be complete next June.

Motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area. IDOT officials said that drivers are urged to pay close attention to the flaggers and signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits and be on the alert for workers and equipment.
