ANNAPOLIS, MD — Four adults and an infant are without a home after an Annapolis house fire, Anne Arundel County Fire Department officials say. The blaze was reported at 3:37 p.m. on Dec. 3 in the 800 block of Bestgate Road. Firefighters arrived to see heavy smoke coming from a single-family, split foyer home.

Firefighters located fire on all levels of the home, and two vehicles at the rear of the home were also on fire, the department said in a news release. Forty-five firefighters from Anne Arundel County, Annapolis City, and the Naval Academy were able to control the fire in about 40 minutes, with additional time needed to put out hot spots.

Authorities say four adults and one infant have been displaced by the fire and are being assisted by the Red Cross. There were no injuries reported.
