Annapolis Motorists Should Expect Traffic Snarls Saturday

The Annapolis Police Department anticipates traffic issues June 1 along Route 450, Route 648 and Boulters Way due to a half-marathon.

ANNAPOLIS, MD – The Annapolis Police Department advises motorists that there likely will be traffic delays Saturday, June 1, from 6:45 to 10:45 a.m. along Route 450 (Ritchie Hwy.) at Boulters Way, and along Route 450 (Ritchie Hwy.) at Naval Academy Bridge and on Route 648.

The traffic delay is due to a half-marathon being held Saturday morning involving approximately 3,000 participants. Route 450 northbound will be split into two-way traffic from Boulters Way to the Naval Academy Bridge. The Naval Academy Bridge will be metered traffic.

  • Route 450 (Ritchie Hwy) between Boulters Way and the Naval Academy Bridge northbound and southbound
  • Route 648 (Baltimore Annapolis Blvd) between Route 450 and Greenbury Point Road
  • Boulters Way between Route 450, Winchester Road and South Winchester Road

There will be marked Anne Arundel County Police Department vehicles present during the event assisting with traffic control along the route.
