Annapolis PD Kept Busy Over The Weekend With More Than 300 Calls

Annapolis police officers responded to 312 calls for help and arrested 14 people over the weekend for multiple thefts and burglaries.

ANNAPOLIS, MD -- In a 72-hour period from Friday, June 14 through Sunday, June 16, Annapolis police responded to 312 calls for assistance and more than a dozen people were arrested. Here are just a few of the incidents that occurred:

  • In the 100 block of Wood Drive in the overnight June 13 to June 14, a suspect stole items from two unlocked vehicles.
  • Along Dock Street a victim left a purse under a table and when she returned two hours later, the purse was sitting on a table and her wallet had been stolen.
  • In the 1100 block of Tyler Avenue during the weekend, another unlocked vehicle had property stolen from it.
  • Someone broke into a home in the 1100 block of Madison Avenue sometime between June 12 and June 16 and stole property.
  • A 25-year-old man from Virginia was arrested for stealing a vehicle in his home state that he was driving in Maryland and for burglarizing property along Hudson Street, along with other charges.
  • A resident in the 1800 block of Bowman Court woke up to find an unknown suspect in the home trying to steal property. The individual fled and could not be located by responding officers.
