ANNAPOLIS, MD – The Chick-fil-A restaurant in Annapolis will be treating local volunteers to a year’s worth of free food for helping out nonprofit organizations in the area. On Friday, June 7, the eatery will host a service tour where a total of 96 volunteers from Crofton, Gambrills/Waugh Chapel, Severna Park and Annapolis will help pack meals and revitalize landscaping among other helpful projects at four stops across Anne Arundel County.

“This is a great opportunity to give back to our community each year,” said Michael Edmonds, franchise operator of Chick-fil-A in Annapolis. “As members of the Annapolis community, we want to support our fellow neighbors in need and make a real difference in the community.”

Edmonds created the special event to help educate people in the area about the challenges that exist and encourage them to pitch in and benefit the local nonprofits that aim to make a difference in others’ lives. The first serve tour was held in 2017 at Chick-fil-A Annapolis’s “First 100 Road Trip” grand opening event where 100 volunteers packed 10,000 boxed lunches for Louisiana flood victims and donated Barnes & Noble books to Mills Parole Elementary School
