Annapolis Woman Assaults Victim With Screwdriver: Police

Annapolis police responded to the report of an assault with a screwdriver. The 66-year-old suspected was arrested and held without bond.

ANNAPOLIS, MD -- Annapolis police officers responded to an emergency call June 20 for an assault with a screwdriver in the 900 block of Bay Ridge Ave. of Annapolis. Two women reportedly were chatting outside a location when the suspect became irate with the victim and punched her in the face.

According to the Annapolis Police Department, the suspect next pulled out a small screwdriver from her pocket and attacked the victim, cutting her on the arm and the leg. The cuts did not require medical treatment. The suspect was later identified as Linda Spriggs, 66, of Annapolis. She was arrested and held without bond.
