Anne Arundel Dive Team Recovers Man's Body From Annapolis Creek

Annapolis police officers checking on the welfare of a 72-year-old man Monday ended up recovering a man's body from Back Creek.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — Anne Arundel County's dive team and the Annapolis Harbormaster helped recover a man's body from Back Creek Monday. According to the Annapolis Police Department, officers arrived at the 600 block of State Street to check on the welfare of a 72-year-old man who lives in the area and was possibly missing. Officers believe the man recovered from the creek is the same man thought to be missing.

Officials identified the man as Daniel Reardon. They believe he accidentally drowned, but the State Medical Examiner's Officer will be conducting an autopsy.
