ANNAPOLIS, MD — A Baltimore woman died Monday morning in a car crash near Dunkin' Donuts that kept a portion of West Street closed for about four hours. Annapolis Police say Kimberly Kiriou, 59, of Baltimore, was killed in the crash that happened about 8 a.m. near 2004 West Street.

Authorities say Kiriou was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier two-door sedan and was leaving the driveway of the Dunkin’ Donuts, turning east onto West Street. A 2018 Ford F150 pickup truck driven by Brett Edwards, 23, of Glen Burnie, was westbound on West Street.

The pickup struck the Chevrolet Cavalier on the driver’s side. While Edwards suffered minor injuries and was taken to Anne Arundel Medical Center, Kiriou suffered life threatening injuries and died at the hospital.
