Chocolate Binge Festival On Dec. 2 In Annapolis

The Chocolate Binge Festival will take place Sunday, Dec. 2, in downtown Annapolis, as well as a variety of other holiday events.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — The Chocolate Binge Festival is coming to downtown Annapolis on Sunday, Dec. 2. It's the biggest one-day event of the year on West Street, so make plans and get your tickets (just $5) today.

The day is packed with sweet chocolate fun, featuring more than 35 artisan chocolate vendors, two dozen artisan vendors, live music and a s'mores firepit.

Also check out a wine tasting event at Luna Blu and make your own scarf at Artfarm. The events take place in the first block of West Street.

The Annapolis Arts District is collecting new toys and coats at the festival for local kids in need (drop them off with Santa Claus) and canned goods to replenish the local food bank (drop off canned goods with the fireman at the festival).

West Street Chocolate Trail

Have fun visiting the many businesses along West Street and enjoy free chocolate samples from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, or while supplies last.

The trail starts at the Annapolis Collection Gallery at the Chocolate Binge Festival. Here, you will get the list of all the participating businesses between the festival and Park Place.

The participating locations include:

  • Chesapeake Brewing Co. (they 're also having a Holiday Beer Release Party and tasting event)
  • Cindy Loo Hoo's Boutique
  • Hilton Garden Inn
  • Nancy Hammond Editions
  • Metropolitan Kitchen
  • Light House Bistro (also hosting a Chocolate Brunch)
  • Westin Hotel

The day will end with the lighting of the Holiday Light Canopy, sponsored by BGE. The canopy lights up the Annapolis Arts District from Park Place to Church Circle.

Cocoa With A Cop

Officers with the Annapolis Police Department are asking everyone to join them at the Chocolate Binge Festival, as well as Midnight Madness and the Miracle on Annapolis Street.

During Midnight Madness on Dec. 6, Dec. 13 and Dec. 20, officers will be outside from 6 to 9 p.m. to hand out free cups of hot chocolate to the community. The officers also will turn out at Miracle on Annapolis Street from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Dec. 30.

Take a few minutes and get to know your local law enforcement team! Even better, let your kids know how approachable the police are, should they ever need help. Come sip Cocoa with a Cop!

Parking For The Holidays

Metered parking is free through New Year's Eve for three hours, with $2 parking after 4 p.m. at Whitmore Parking Garage, 25 Clay St.

All-day prepaid parking for $5 is available for Midnight Madness at the Knighton and Gotts Court parking garages. To pre-pay for parking, click here.

The free Circulator bus also has added to its route the State Parking Garage at 19 St. Johns St. This parking garage is free on weekday evenings starting at 6 p.m. and all day on weekends.
