Kitchen Fire Damages Eastport Home: Fire Officials

The fire broke out Saturday night in the kitchen of an Eastport home located in the 900 block of Creek Drive.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — Saturday at approximately 6 p.m., fire departments from Annapolis, Anne Arundel County and the U.S. Naval Academy were dispatched to the 900 block of Creek Drive in Eastport for a call about a kitchen fire.

Once at the home, firefighters discovered heavy smoke and fire pouring through a first floor window. It took the 50 firefighters almost 40 minutes to get the fire under control. No firefighters were injured and the homeowners were not present at the time of the fire. They declined assistance from the Red Cross.
