Man Shot, Killed In Annapolis, Police Identify Victim

A man was shot and killed in Annapolis on Saturday, according to a police report. Police identified the victim.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — Police say a man was shot and killed in Annapolis late Saturday afternoon. The man, Walters Mpang Halle Elangwe, was 29, a police report says.

The shooting happened just before 4 p.m. on the 1100 block of Primrose Court where Annapolis police say they found Elangwe injured. Medics took him to an unnamed hospital where he later died from his injuries, the report says.

Detectives are investigating the shooting as a homicide. They ask anybody with information to call them at 410-260-3439. Tipsters can also submit information anonymously by calling 1-866-7LOCKUP or visiting metrocrimestoppers.org.
