ANNAPOLIS, MD -- The wildly popular Bitty & Beau's Coffee soon will be opening its fourth location in Annapolis as an expansion of the Wilmington, N.C.-based business. Named after her children Bitty and Beau, founder Amy Wright expressed her excitement about expanding into the Annapolis market. The company's two other locations are in Charleston, S.C., and Savannah, Ga.

The focus of Bitty & Beau's Coffee isn't just to provide amazing beverages to customers, but primarily to offer job opportunities to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Bitty and Beau both have Down syndrome. The company currently employs approximately 100 individuals.

The Annapolis site has functioned as a coffee shop already, so not much needs to be done by way of remodeling the physical location, Wright said. The 2,000-square-foot spot will have seating at the bar and space for dance parties that the business is known for, reported WJLA.
