Teen Shot In Annapolis, Boy Killed One Block Away Night Prior

A teenager was shot in Annapolis Tuesday evening, police say. A 14-year-old boy was shot and killed one block away on Monday night.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — A teenager was shot in Annapolis Tuesday evening, police say. A 14-year-old boy was shot and killed one block away the night before. Tuesday's shooting happened around 7:45 p.m. on the 1800 block of Bowman Drive.

The victim was shot in the lower body. Annapolis police have not yet announced the victim's gender.

Medics took the victim, who is 17, to an unnamed hospital. The teen is expected to live.

Monday's shooting took place less than 24 hours earlier, one block over on the 1800 block of Bowman Court. Bowman Court is located at the end of Bowman drive.

Paramedics took Monday's victim to a nearby hospital, where he died from his gunshot wounds. Police do not have any information on the suspect.

It is not immediately clear whether the shootings were connected. Police have not said whether the teens were the targets of the shootings or if they were bystanders caught in the line of fire.
