ANNAPOLIS, MD — A U.S. Navy midshipman has been accused of attempting to sexually assault a fellow midshipman in February 2018 while she was sleeping. Nixon Keago faces several charges related to this incident, as well as additional charges from a similar incident with a different midshipman that occurred Oct. 21, 2018.

WJZ reported that Keago also attempted to commit a sexual act on a midshipman while on active duty in New York City in May 2019. Keago also is accused of burglary in connection to the sexual assault charges. Naval Academy spokesperson Jennifer Erickson told WJZ that Keago is currently on a leave of absence.
