Weather Call From Anne Arundel County Public Schools For Feb. 21

Anne Arundel County Public Schools will operate on a modified schedule on Thursday, officials announced.

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — Public schools in Anne Arundel County will open late on Thursday. Officials made the announcement Thursday morning.

Anne Arundel County Public Schools will open on a two-hour delay on Thursday, Feb. 21, according to authorities.

Full-day prekindergarten students should report two hours later than usual, officials advised.

These programs are canceled Thursday, according to Anne Arundel County Public Schools:

  • Morning half-day prekindergarten
  • Morning sessions at the Centers of Applied Technology North or South
  • ECI classes

Anne Arundel County received up to 5 inches of snow on Wednesday, based on preliminary data. That measurement came from Severn, according to the National Weather Service, which also indicated BWI saw 4.5 inches of accumulation, Linthicum had 4 inches, while Annapolis and Glen Burnie received about 2 inches.
