ANNAPOLIS, MD — Westfield Annapolis has announced that it will be transforming the former Lord & Taylor department store into a new shopping district that will feature stylish boutiques, home design stores and other options. The renovation should be done by 2021.

The project will include a pedestrian gallery that will connect the property's Macy's store and its Pottery Barn and Nordstrom wings, which should be open by September 2020. The renovation also will create a new double-height architectural exterior entrance approximately 40 feet tall located alongside Bestgate Road.

Because most of the work will be done within the former department store space, impact on shoppers will be limited and businesses in the area will remain open. People wanting to cross though the district under construction to reach stores in the shopping center’s Macy’s wing must first go to Nordstrom and then turn right at Michael Kors and take another right at Johnston & Murphy.
