ANNAPOLIS, MD — Home decor chain Z Gallerie will be closing its store at 2300 Annapolis Mall Rd. as part of its restructuring after filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy earlier this year, the second time it has filed in the history of the company. DirectBuy has acquired the company out of bankruptcy with a winning bid of $20.3 million.

The Annapolis location is one of more than two dozen stores across the country to be closed. The company is rejecting leases for its underperforming stores, which includes the Annapolis site. Z Gallerie has already shut down 17 of its locations and now 27 more will close. Only 34 of its stores will remain open at this time. The other stores to close in this latest round, in addition to Annapolis, are located in California, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Illinois, Kansas, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Texas and Virginia.
