One Maryland Restaurant Gets 4-Diamond Rating: AAA

About 2 percent of restaurants that AAA rates receive the four-diamond rating, including one in Baltimore.

BALTIMORE, MD — AAA has released its exclusive four-diamond list of restaurants, and one restaurant in Maryland made the cut. The list, released this week, includes more than 650 restaurants in North America, or roughly 2 percent of restaurants inspected and approved by AAA.

These restaurants offer a distinctive fine-dining experience and utilize creative food-prep techniques.

Maryland's only four-diamond-rated restaurant was Charleston.

It's the latest accolade for the eatery at 1000 Lancaster Street in Baltimore, which also made TripAdvisor's list of the Most Romantic Restaurants in America.

Charleston has been recognized for its wine selection as well as its exquisite fare.

Charleston's Executive Chef and Co-Owner Cindy Wolf has repeatedly been nominated for the Best Chef in the Mid-Atlantic in the annual James Beard Foundation Restaurant and Chef Awards.
