Active Shooter Response Training In Montgomery County Scheduled
Maryland State Police's Rockville Barrack is hosting a free active shooter training session on Nov. 4. Space is limited.
ROCKVILLE, MD — Maryland State Police's Rockville Barrack will be hosting a free active shooter training session in November.
The 1.5-hour class, dubbed the Civilian Response to Active Shooter Training, will be held on Monday, Nov. 4 at 6 p.m. It will take place at 7915 Montrose Rd. in Rockville.
Developed by The Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training (ALERRT) Center at Texas State University, the class teaches people what to do if they are confronted with an active shooter event. Officials will cover the history and prevalence of active shooter events, civilian response options, medical issues, and other topics during the session.
