Boloco Closes In Future Home Of Boston's First Chick-fil-A

BOSTON — The Boloco that was holding the space for where the city's first Chick-fil-A will open has closed, Universal Hub reported Monday.

In February, the Zoning Board of Appeals gave the Chick-fil-A the go-ahead to take over the two-story Boloco spot on Boylston Street.

In 2012, then-Boston Mayor Thomas Menino wrote a strongly worded letter saying the chain "would be an insult to Boston." Menino referenced Chick-fil-A President Dan Cathy's statements against same-sex marriage.
