Framingham Woman Involved in Fatal Crash In Maine

WATERBORO, ME — A Framingham woman was involved in a fatal motorcycle crash in Maine on Saturday. The woman was driving an SUV and was hit by a motorcyclist.

The crash happened at noon on Saturday in Waterboro, Maine. A 2018 Harley Davidson Motorcycle, driven by Kimberly Sawyer, 53, of Freeport, hit a 2016 Fiat SUV driven by Cara Crabb-Burnham, 33, Framingham.

According to the York County Sheriff's Office, Sawyer was driving west on the Town House Road in the area of the Deering Ridge Road/Webber Road intersection. Crabb-Burnham was driving north on Deering Ridge Road and was crossing the Town House Road at the intersection when she was hit in the passenger side by the motorcycle, police said.

The intersection is a two-way intersection that has a stop sign at Deering Ridge Road and a stop sign at Webber Road. The Townhouse Road traffic does not have to stop at the intersection. Sawyer, died at the scene from her injuries, police said.

The crash is being re-constructed by Warden Eric Blanchard of the Maine Wardens Service.
