SALEM, MA — Scheduled filming for "Hubie Halloween," the Adam Sandler movie for Netflix set in Salem and being shot in several North Shore locations, was moved to Thursday after a forecast calling for thunderstorms scrapped Wednesday's planned shoot. There will be parking restrictions and street closures around Salem Common Thursday from 6:30 p.m. to 2 a.m., weather permitting.

Happy Madison, Sandler's production company, will also be filming next Monday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., but there will only be parking restrictions, with no street closures requested.

Shooting began Monday in Marblehead and other scenes will be shot in Danvers.

The synopsis of the film on the application to Danvers officials reads "Despite his devotion to his hometown of Salem, Massachusetts (and its legendary Halloween celebration), Hubie Dubois is a figure of mockery for kids and adults alike. But this year, something really is going bump in the night, and it's up to Hubie to save Halloween."
