SALEM, MA — The Salem Department of Public Services expects emergency repairs to sewer pipes and a manhole structure on Essex Street to take up to three weeks, weather permitting. The department will also be installing new sheeting. Drivers and residents should expect delays and traffic detours as the work progresses.
