Gunshots Reported In Salem's Point Neighborhood

There have been reports of three incidents where shots were fired in the past week, according to Salem police..

SALEM, MA —Police are investigating three reports of incidents in the past week where guns were fired in Salem's point neighborhood.

According to the Salem News, which first reported this story, there have been no property damage reports or injuries. Salem police Lt. Stephen Bona told the newspaper the incidents appear to be "a reckless act." After the first incident on May 20, police found 9 mm shell casings near Shetland Park. Shell casings were also found near Congress and Lynch Streets after the second incident on May 23, but no shell casings were recovered after the third incident on May 25 near the intersection of Congress and Dow Streets.
