Lynn Murder Suspect Arrested In Salem

SALEM, MA — Police arrested a 17-year-old in Salem Tuesday, completing the round up of three of four suspects wanted in the July 4 shooting death of a Lynn man.

The Essex State Police Detective Unit, Lynn Police Department, and Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section arrested Josue Cespedes, 17, address unknown. He is charged with murder, four counts of armed assault with intent to murder, four counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious injury and carrying a firearm without a license.

Tyrell Berberena, 25, address unknown, was arrested Monday at a gas station on the Cambridge-Somerville city line. He was ordered held without bail.

The third suspect, Marcus Carlisle, 22, of Lynn, was arrested by U.S. Marshals in Long Beach, CA Monday. The Essex County DA's office said they did not yet have a timeline for his return to Massachusetts. The office said it was in the process of obtaining an arrest warrant for a fourth suspect, who was not identified.

Another victim remains in critical condition. The three other victims are expected to survive.
