Salem Apartment Building Fire Under Control

For the second time in a week, Salem Fire Fighters were called to a multi-family home.

SALEM, MA — Fire fighters from Salem and surrounding communities were called to a fire at an apartment building at 12-14 Summer Street Thursday afternoon. The fire was under control by 2:45 p.m., according to scanner reports. Other details were not immediately available.

According to property records, 12-14 Summer Street is a six-unit apartment building which sold for $1.97 million in December.

On Saturday, a fire in an apartment building on Cromwell Street left two families homeless. Salem officials have begun collecting donations for the families.
