STOUGHTON, MA — Police have asked for the public's help identifying suspects following a shooting Saturday night outside a house party. Around 11:15 p.m., police were called to Hollytree Road after reports of gunshots.

Police said they found four 9mm shell casings at the end of a driveway in the 40th block of Hollytree Road. There were also sever .45 caliber casings on the ground at the intersection of Hollytree Road and Mayflower Lane, according to police. Randolph police assisted by bringing a K-9 unit to search the area for weapons, but no other ammunition or firearms were found.

Police said they do not believe anyone was actually shot and called the incident a "clearly targeted event" between two people shooting at each other.

"This was not a random act in any way and the Tanglewood neighborhood continues to be a safe area for families," Lt. John Bonney said in a statement.

Two hours before the shooting was reported, police said they were called to the same home for a noise complaint from a house party. The homeowner agreed to turn the music down and officers left. Police said when officers came back because of the shooting, they saw people getting in their cars and speeding away from the party.
