After Day-Long Search, Missing Wilmington Boy Returns Home

The 11-year-old Wilmington boy returned home Sunday afternoon after being reported missing earlier in the day.

WILMINGTON, MA — Wilmington police say 11-year-old Blake Bjork returned home around 4:45 p.m. Sunday after being reported missing earlier in the day. Bjork's family had reported him missing after a neighbor reported seeing him walk away from his Kendall Street home around 9:05 a.m. Sunday. Wilmington Police said they are continuing to investigate the incident and would not release further details.

"The Wilmington Police Department and the Bjork family want to send their heartfelt thanks to the [many] people who searched for Blake today and those that offered messages of support on social media," the department said in a statement released Sunday after the boy was safely found.
