Jeffrey Yao Indicted By Middlesex Grand Jury

Yao charged in fatal stabbing of 22-year-old Deane Kenny Stryker last February.

WINCHESTER, MA — The man who allegedly walked into Winchester Public Library and stabbed a 22-year-old woman to death was indicted Thursday, the Middlesex County District Attorney's Office said.

Jeffrey Yao, 24, of Winchester, was indicted by a Middlesex Superior Court Grand Jury and charged with murder, armed assault with intent to murder a person over the age of 60 and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon on a person over the age of 60 in connection with the Feb. 24, 2018 fatal stabbing of Deane Kenny Stryker, 22, of Winchester, and the non-fatal stabbing of a 77-year-old Winchester man in the library.

Yao was expected to appear in Middlesex Superior Court for arraignment Friday morning.
