Minnesota Weather: Lots Of Rain This Week

After an Easter Sunday that featured warm and sunny weather, heavy rains will arrive Monday.

TWIN CITIES, MN — After an Easter Sunday that featured beautiful weather, heavy rains will arrive Monday. "Another round of widespread soaking rains are expected tonight through Monday," says the National Weather Service.

"Local amounts of 2 inches are possible from south central MN to northwest WI."

Monday: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. High near 50. North northeast wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent. New precipitation amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.

Monday Night: A 40 percent chance of showers before 10 p.m. Cloudy, then gradually becoming partly cloudy, with a low around 37. North wind 10 to 15 mph.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 61. North wind 5 to 10 mph.

Tuesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 41. North wind around 5 mph becoming south after midnight.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 67. South southwest wind 5 to 10 mph.

Wednesday Night: A 40 percent chance of showers after 1 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 47. South southwest wind around 5 mph becoming west after midnight.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 66. North northwest wind around 10 mph.

Thursday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 41. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph.

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 60. North wind around 5 mph.

Friday Night: A 30 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 42. North wind around 5 mph becoming southeast after midnight.

Saturday: A 40 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 62. South southeast wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.
