At around 1 p.m., police were sent to the Office of the Public Guardian on Pillsbury Street for a report of an unwanted guest, according to an affidavit. When they arrived and entered the hallway of the building, they found a woman "laying on the ground" and "refusing to leave" since the office was "refusing to give her what she wanted," the officer wrote. The woman, identified as Taylor, "became very irate" when told a new guardian would be in contact with her shortly and when asked to leave several times, police said. Taylor was asked to leave by officers and warned she would be arrested if she didn't. "Taylor said she was protesting and that she would not leave the property unless she was taken to jail," the affidavit stated, so officers arrested her. Police accused her of being uncooperative and "insisted on going straight to jail," so she was taken straight to county and held without bail.
