75,000 Without Power In New Hampshire: Tropical Storm Isaias

Update: Eversource, Unitil, New Hampshire Electric Co-Op, Liberty Utilities are reporting power outages in nearly every part of the state.

CONCORD, NH — Strong, gusty winds from Tropical Storm Isaias passing through the western part of the state, but also affecting weather in other areas of New Hampshire, knocked out power to more than 75,000 electricity customers in New Hampshire.

As of 11:30 p.m., Eversource, the state's largest electricity company, reported more than 55,000 customers without power including in Amherst, Bedford, Londonderry, Merrimack, Milford, Nashua, and Portsmouth. Both Northwood and Strafford reported more than 2,000 outages.

The New Hampshire Electric Co-op reported around 19,000 without power with large outages in Barlett, Barnstead, Conway, Woodstock, and Thornton.

Unitil has more than 3,000 without power including small outages in Concord, Bow, Canterbury, Dunbarton, Epsom, Salisbury, and Webster but larger outages on the Seacoast. Stratham is reporting 938 without power while Exeter has 843 without power. Newton has 526 without electricity with smaller outages in Hampton, Kensington, East Kingston, Kingston, and Hampton Falls. The company is still assessing its estimated time for power restoration.

Liberty Utilities was only reporting about 1,200 customers including 224 in Pelham and 178 in Windham. The company expects to have power restored by 1 a.m.
