CONCORD, NH — A Concord felon was arrested and held without bail Thursday after carjacking a vehicle in Bow and being accused of a robbery in Concord before getting arrested in the city's West End neighborhood.

At just after 2:30 p.m., police in Bow were sent to the Hampton Inn on South Street for a report of a carjacking.

"The victim reported that he was eating lunch inside his vehicle when a male, who was unknown to the victim, opened the driver's side door," Sgt. Matthew Pratte of the Bow Police Department said. "The suspect pulled the victim out of the vehicle by his neck and then drove away in the stolen vehicle. Bow police were able to track the stolen vehicle utilizing the victim's iPhone which was still inside the vehicle."

The victim's iPhone showed the car, a black Mazda with Utah plates, had stopped near Grappone Park in Concord. That information was relayed to Concord police.

"While Bow and Concord officers were responding to the location of the iPhone, the Concord Police Department received a report of an additional robbery that had just occurred near the area of the victim's stolen iPhone," Pratte said. "The description of the Concord robbery suspect matched the description of the male wanted in the Bow carjacking."
