Concord Police Investigating North Main Street Motorcycle Crash

Possible hit-and-run incident downtown is under investigation by Concord police after two people were taken to Concord Hospital.

CONCORD, NH — Concord police are investigating a possible hit-and-run crash on North Main Street involving a motorcycle and another vehicle Thursday.

An officer, heading to another call, came across a motorcycle on the ground and a driver in the road at the intersection of North Main and Storrs Street around 12:20 p.m. The officer was then taken off the other call, a possible domestic in Penacook involving a car with New York plates, and Concord firefighters were requested to the crash.

Merrimack County Sheriffs also assisted at the scene. A second ambulance was requested a few minutes later to tend to a second injury.

According to numerous witnesses, the motorcycle and another vehicle collided and then, the vehicle left the scene. Neither the motorcycle driver nor its passenger were wearing helmets, according to witnesses. Both were taken to Concord Hospital.

Concord police have not returned an email requesting more information about the vehicle at post time.
