More Than 3,000 Lose Power In Concord, Capital Region

Unitil is reporting thousands without power in Concord, Boscawen, Canterbury, Dunbarton, Salisbury, Webster during Tropical Storm Isaias.

CONCORD, NH — More than 3,300 Unitil customers are without power in Concord and the capital region, according to reports.

At just after 6 p.m., more than 3,060 customers in Concord were reportedly without power mostly centered around the West End and Penacook area of the city. Another 95 customers were without power in Boscawen and 90 in Dunbarton. Twenty-seven were without power in Canterbury. Another 23 customers in Salisbury and 11 in Webster were also without power. Epsom reported 10 without power.

No Eversource customers in the capital region were without power at post time.

Concord firefighters were sent to Village Street for a report of a tree down in a road and limbs were also reported down on North Main Street. Another incident occurred in the West End with police reporting signals out in the area of Concord High School.

Concord fire dispatch has sent firefighters from around the capital region to reports of trees and limbs down on Baptist Hill Road in Canterbury; Old Henniker Road, Stumpfield Road, and Dolly Road in Hopkinton, where a tree reportedly fell into a house; Bennetts Bridge Road in Northwood; Chichester Road and Sanborn Road and Lovering Avenue in Loudon; Couchtown Road in Warner; and Quaker Street in Henniker.
