Police Recruit From Concord Accused Of Shooting Threat

New Hampshire State Police said Noah Beaulieu, a recruit with Laconia police, threatened a shooting at this week's graduation.

CONCORD, NH — A New Hampshire police recruit was arrested Wednesday, accused of telling classmates he was going to shoot up Friday's graduation ceremony. Noah Beaulieu, 24, of Concord, was charged with criminal threatening and fired. He was training to become a police officer in Laconia.

Friday's graduation was still on schedule.

"We wanted to ensure the safety of both the public and also the recruits and other law enforcement officers who were targets of some of the threats," State Police Capt. Ebert told WMUR.

"What he has been charged with is way out of line," attorney Mark Sisti told WMUR. "He had no intention whatsoever to harm anybody."
