Severe Thunderstorms Hit New Hampshire: Update
Possible tornado caught on camera in Hooksett; National Weather Service warned of gusty winds, hail, downpours across the entire state.
Update: 5:37 p.m. The NWS issued a tornado warner for Northwestern Rockingham County in southern New Hampshire, East central Hillsborough County in southern New Hampshire, Southeastern Merrimack County in central New Hampshire, after "a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Hooksett, or 8 miles south of Concord, moving east at 15 mph.
Hail the size of quarters is possible as is flying debris. Trees and manufactured homes in the path of the storm may be damaged.
"Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include
Allenstown, Bow, Pembroke, Dunbarton, Candia, and Deerfield," according to the alert.

The alert is active until 6:15 p.m.

GRAY, ME — The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for Wednesday. The alert was issued at just before 3 p.m. as a wave of rain passed through the state. A second wave, however, expected to begin at 7 p.m. in Concord and running through 9:30 to 10 p.m. on the Seacoast, should bring isolated but severe thunderstorms.
"Some storms could be severe," according to forecasters, "with hail, damaging winds, gusty winds, and heavy rain."
Wind gusts are expected to reach 60 mph, according to the alert. Hail damage to vehicles is expected as well as wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Up to a quarter of an inch of rain is expected.
The alert covers Merrimack, Hillsborough, and Rockingham counties.
