CONCORD, NH — Are schools reopening in Concord for the 2020-2021 school year? We do not know yet.

The board of education in Concord hosted its monthly meeting Monday and had planned to discuss reopening proposals and act on policy and other business items. But due to a technical issue, the board was not able to conduct the meeting.

According to Interim School Superintendent Kathleen Murphy, the district switched from Microsoft Teams to Microsoft Live last week, to "ensure more participation from the public." That presentation, she said, seemed to go pretty well. However, on Monday, there were problems with some board members not being able to discuss or exchange ideas.

"I want to apologize to all of those who attended and waited patiently as we attempted to resolve the difficulties," Murphy said in an email to parents Tuesday. "Today we are resolving the technical difficulties to ensure we have a smooth meeting and an opportunity for public comment on the reopening proposals."

Thursday's meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m.
