Merrimack Fire Respond To Chemical Leak At BAE

Merrimack Fire Rescue responded to a business on Continental Boulevard for a reported chemical leak Friday.

MERRIMACK, NH — Merrimack Fire Rescue were dispatched at 8:21 a.m. Friday for a reported chemical leak at BAE on Continental Boulevard.

On their arrival the building was being evacuated, and Merrimack fire personnel assessed the situation.

Matthew Duke, Merrimack interim fire chief, said there was a leak from a chemical cylinder which was controlled and safely mitigated.

EMS crews were on scene, but no one required transport to a medical facility.

The fire department cleared within one-hour of the initial call. The building was able to be reoccupied by workers after the leak was mitigated.
