Merrimack Firefighters Save Fawn Trapped In Foundation

A young fawn was safely rescued by Merrimack Fire Rescue crews and reunited with its mother

MERRIMACK, NH — Merrimack Fire Rescue was called to the scene of an animal needing assistance.

A worker from the Merrimack Village Water District found a fawn who was in an unfinished basement and could not get out.

MFR Engine 1 found the fawn very stressed from being trapped. Fire crews lowered themselves down to be on the same level in the foundation.

Firefighters were able to capture and safely secure the fawn and reunite it to he mother which was waiting on the woodline.
