Merrimack Town Elections Held Tuesday

Voters go to the polls from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. to choose races for town councilor, school board, budget committee, town and school budgets.

MERRIMACK, NH — Voters in Merrimack go to the polls Tuesday to cast ballots in the annual town election, an election previously postponed due to the new coronavirus.

Polls in town will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at three locations: The all purpose room at the James Mastricola Upper Elementary School on Baboosic Lake Road, St. John Neumann Church at 708 Milford Road/Route 101A, and Merrimack Middle School at 31 Madeline Bennett Lane.

On the town side of the ballot, there is a three-way race for town councilor for two seats between Bill Boyd, Charles Lafond, and Finlay Rothhaus.

Voters will also decide on a $33.1 million town budget or a default budget of $31.5 million.

On the school ballot, voters will choose between two candidates running for a single school board seat: Andy Hunter and Laurie Rothhaus.

There are also 10 candidates running for four school budget committee: Dan Coakley, Jenna Hardy, Jeff Lavigne, Chuck Mower, Rachel Paepke, Lori Peters, Robert Reisman, Scott Sabens, Ellen Wilson, and Scott Adler.

Voters will also decide on whether or not to approve an $80.1 million school budget or a nearly $80.3 million default budget.
