CONCORD, NH — During the upcoming week, police from multiple agencies will conduct a special patrol to target impaired drivers. The DWI saturation patrol will be conducted in the Tri-City area by State Police Troop A and officers from Somersworth, Dover and Rochester police departments. According to the State Police, impaired driving remains to be an ongoing issue on the roads, and this week's initiative is designed to help combat it.

"Although State and local police work tirelessly against this issue on a daily and nightly basis, the project will allow a larger contingency of officers and Troopers to focus solely on the detection and apprehension of impaired drivers," State Police said in a statement. They did not state the specific dates and times that the patrol will take place. "As the warmer weather persists, the New Hampshire State Police would like to encourage all motorists to make safe decisions and remind e everyone that problem of impaired driving is a preventable one."
