NEW JERSEY — If you love the heat then you'll love this long-range weather forecast for this summer and into early fall.

The Weather Channel released its mid-summer to early fall long-range weather forecast and it's calling for "above-average temperatures" for New Jersey over the next few months.

In July, we can expect "near- or slightly above-average conditions," according to the long-range forecast. There are several reasons we'll see warmer temps in July, including weak El Nino conditions and because the soil is so moist from significant recent rain storms.

The National Weather Service's long-range forecast also supports The Weather Channel's findings. The NWS is predicting normal precipitation over the next three months and above average temperatures for the same time period.
