NEW PROVIDENCE/BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ —The state has released information showing how much school districts budgeted for the salaries of principals, superintendents, and administrators in 2019.

For the New Providence Public School District, the median salary is $142,995 the 61st highest in New Jersey. The 2.6 percent salary increase ranked as the 253rd highest year-over-year change in New Jersey.

In Berkeley Heights, the median salary is $149,307, the 29th highest in New Jersey. The 2.2 percent increase was the 294th highest change in New Jersey.

The median statewide salary is $125,207, a 1 percent increase over 2018.

The information is part of the state Department of Education's Taxpayer's Guide to Education Spending, which shows the median salary for every New Jersey school district.
