CEDAR GROVE, NJ — People are judged by their deeds, not by their words, according to Passaic Valley Sewerage Commission (PVSC) Chairman Thomas Tucci Jr.

Tucci, who also serves as the township manager of Cedar Grove, was reelected as chairperson of the PVSC during the agency’s May 7 meeting.

“People are judged by their deeds, not by their words,” said Tucci, who has served as a PVSC commissioner since 2014 and has held the position of chairperson since 2015.

“This board has done amazing things over the last four years,” Tucci said. “All the while, our user charges have remained low and our employee morale is higher than ever. I am honored to continue serving alongside Vice Chairman [Luis] Quintana and the rest of my fellow commissioners, who continue to provide the agency with invaluable leadership.”

During the PVSC annual reorganization meeting, Quintana was reelected as vice chairman, commissioner Mildred Crump was re-elected as board secretary, and commissioner Elizabeth Calabrese was reelected as treasurer. Matthew Murray was reappointed as the clerk to the Board of Commissioners.

“Chairman Tucci, Vice Chairman Quintana, and the rest of our Board of Commissioners have set a high standard and an appropriate tone at the top of our organization and, as a result of their leadership, we can all look forward to the future with great optimism,” Tramontozzi said.
