Forest Hills Pedestrian Hurt In Yellowstone Boulevard Crash: FDNY

FOREST HILLS, QUEENS — A pedestrian was hurt in a car crash in Forest Hills on Tuesday morning, according to the FDNY.

The crash happened at Yellowstone Boulevard and Burns Street at 7 a.m., a Fire Department spokesperson said.

The pedestrian went to Long Island Jewish Forest Hills with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Forest Hills Community and Civic Association has fielded a host of complaints that the intersection of Yellowstone and Burns is too dangerous, according to a list of transportation concerns that residents put together in May.

Tuesday's crash would be at least the second injury at that intersection this year, according to the city's Vision Zero data.

There have been at least eight injuries there, not including Tuesday's crash, since 2015, the data shows.
